Hello and good evening/morning/afternoon! I always type my blog at about 10:00 PM lol. I had a few items sitting here that I have been meaning to review but really didn’t have a ton to say about, so I thought I would do a small hit or miss post 😃

First up: Becca Cosmetics Volcano Goddess palette

This is a mostly hit with a catch: I bought this at Marshall’s for $16.99. Had I gotten it at full price, I would not have been super happy. I absolutely love the mattes and shimmers. They are buttery and very blendable. The glitters do not show up much at all. I am buying a glitter glue, but so far using a finger or wet brush did nothing for them. I also wish there were two more matte shades in this.

Item #2: Too Faced Melting Powder Blush in shade Ginger Peach

Overall, this is a miss. I bought this at Marshall’s also for $10. I love the color of it, but it doesn’t apply really at all with a brush (I even used a Kabuki brush as they suggested). It was suggested to use a finger to apply and then blend out, but with my very textured skin, it looked patchy and showed my pores badly. I am going to keep playing with it but I’m not thrilled with it overall. đŸ˜Ļ I wish it had just been a regular powder instead of a cream to powder.

Item #3: Milani blush palette in Coral Beams

Currently this is a miss but I’m determined to make it a hit lol. I bought this on a whim because it looked so beautiful and I wanted to try more from Milani. As you can see, it’s just not super pigmented. I’m not sure if I need to dig down a little more (I’m hoping). I tried to swatch each color and then the swipe that shows up the most is me swirling my finger around the pan probably five times. I bought this full price at Ulta… I believe it was $11.99. I will keep playing with this, too!

Item #4 and finally, this lash kit I found at Marshall’s:

This was my first venture into false lashes. I was very upset at how bad I was at applying until I bought better lashes and realized, this kit just has poor quality lashes 🤷 It was thankfully only $10. It was nice to introduce me. At any rate, I’m going to try each style because it came with a lot! And then the box is actually very nice. The lid lifts on top and then there’s a pull out drawer below. I will keep it to store more stuff 😁

That’s it for tonight! What is your favorite blush? I really only have one I like right now from Note Cosmetics and am looking for another good one 🤔

Well, BoxyCharm keeps sucking me back in! I saw we were getting the Too Faced Better Than Sex in this month’s box, so I kept the subscription literally for that. I was planning on buying it in a few months anyway, and that makes the cost of the box. 🤷

The theme this month was After Glow. This is a $21 plus tax subscription box for makeup and beauty products. If you choose to bundle several months, it’s cheaper. I do monthly because I keep thinking I’m going to cancel lol! I’m so glad there wasn’t a palette this month because I haven’t liked the last few months’ palettes.

First we have the Trestique lipstick in shade English Rose. It’s actually more of an opaque gloss. I don’t mind it at all and it’s a very pretty color. It’s comfortable on the lips but definitely transfers. It seems to wear very evenly though which I love 👌 The bottom pops out and is a little primer, and the cap is actually magnetic which I thought was pretty cool!

Then there’s the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara. Either you love it or it’s over hyped lol. I honestly can’t justify spending that much on a mascara but I’ve been buying the little travel sizes off and on because I really do love this mascara! I’m so glad to get a full sized one.

Then there’s the Touch in Sol No Pore-blem face primer. I was excited to try this but it didn’t do much for me ☚ī¸ My pores are just very deep and I need something with a whipped consistency like the Urban Decay Optical Illusion to literally fill them in. I think I will pass it along to a family member. It’s not necessarily bad but I just need something to really fill in!

The fourth item is the Farmacy face cleanser. I have heard good things about this brand but I honestly don’t think I’m really going to test this out. We will see. I have a few products I absolutely love for face cleansers so I might just pass this onto my sister…who desperately needs a good cleanser 😏 I’m having a bad time with very dry skin and I’m not sure I want to switch products right now

Finally, we got the Pretty Vulgar highlighter in Shimmering Swan. This gets a 3/5 stars. It’s just okay. I think I would have liked it more if I had gotten it last year before I started using really flashy, blindingly bright highlighters lol. It’s a very pretty champagne-y color but there’s not a ton of pay off. It’s more for a glow than a beacon which I know some people prefer 😁

What do you guys think? I would put up my usual spiel about not sure if I want to continue, but…. I kind of signed up to try Boxy Luxe next month đŸ˜ļ Umm…. No buy is not going well, guys 😂 I think I need to officially change it to low buy because I’m not going crazy but I’m not sticking to my original plan either since January 28th haha. But I saw they were including the It Cosmetics eye cream that I was going to repurchase as soon as mine ran out sooo… 🤷 We will see if I keep either after next month!

Well I’ve decided to try and do a Pan Project for this year. I’m starting out on a low buy so I may as well focus on some of my favorite palettes to get some use out of them! I’m not going to pick a crazy amount right off the bat because I’ve never done a pan project before and I’ve literally never hit pan on any eyeshadow before 😂

I was inspired by Tayler from Tayler’s Edit! Go and check out her blog if you don’t know her 🙂

First up, the non eyeshadow:

We have three foundations! I told myself no more foundation until I finish at least one, and there are some foundations I would like to try 😁 I love all three of these (Urban Decay Naked Skin, NYX BB cream, and Too Faced Dew You), so I’ve just been alternating them so far. I know I’m going to repurchase the BB cream when I run out but I would like to try some other high end foundation.

Note Cosmetics Blush in Desert Rose. I love this blush!!! It’s literally my favorite and I got it in a BoxyCharm. It’s basically the only blush I wear anymore so even though it’s bigger, I think I will have no problem.

Wet n Wild bronzer. I don’t remember the specific shade but it’s the lighter one from the Fire Dragon vs Ice Dragon set. I just got this and I don’t wear bronzer a ton, so this one might be hard lol

Ofra highlighter in Glazed Donut. My favorite highlighter! I love this and wear it a ton but it’s such a huge pan and obviously it’s not something you use a ton of at once (I don’t anyways lol), so this might be a challenge. Plus I have a lot of other highlighters. But this was very expensive so I want to try and get it used!

The Eyeshadows (I’m hoping for 2-4 pans on each):

Morphe 24G Grand Glam. I love this palette but the pans are huge!

Ofra Pro Palette. This is a face palette so this might be challenging but this was one of my most expensive purchases so I want to try and feel like I got my money’s worth lol.

Too Faced Just Peachy Mattes. I love love love this and I think once spring and summer hit, I’m going to use this a lot!

Urban Decay Born to Run. I also really enjoy this palette and there’s a lot of shades, so I think I will be able to use it a lot without getting bored of it.

If I happen to do really well with these, I plan on adding some Jeffree Star palettes to the mix.

Are you doing a pan project? I’m excited for a new challenge 😊

I currently have three new mascaras in my collection. And I think that’s enough for now since it takes me awhile to get through mascara.

Fun fact: Apparently you’re only supposed to use a mascara for like 3-6 months! That was fun to find out when I know I used to use the same one for well over a year lol.

But I digress.

They are all prestige brands. I actually did not get any of these through conventional purchase, but they are in the $25-$30 range I believe. Which I do think is a lot for a 6 month product, but I am very picky on mascara so if I find one I like, I will be handing over my money!

Too Faced Better than Sex. I got a sample from a purchase, which was perfect because I was going to purchase it anyways. I already went through a tube and love it. I know there’s some bad feelings surrounding the brand, but I do love this mascara. It makes my lashes look very full without being clumpy. I will say though at this small size, it is hard to use lol.

It Cosmetics Superhero. This is my first product from this brand minus see brushes. I got this in a BoxyCharm and finally started using it. My only complaint is that it is “wetter” than what I normally use so I had some mascara dots on my lids before I learned to let it dry before blinking 🙄 However it does look nice on! I don’t think it does enough for me to repurchase though.

Tarte Maneater. This is my first Tarte product unless I’m forgetting something! I bought this on Ulta Black Friday for $10. This has my favorite packaging out of all of them, but it’s probably my least favorite of the three in this post. It looks nice on, but it doesn’t wow me (yet anyways…I plan to keep trying it).

I will say, so far, Wander Beauty Unlashed is standing as my favorite mascara so far. I just emptied it not that long ago and am thinking I will grab another as soon as I toss one of these. But out of these three, Better than Sex is my only repurchase.

What’s your Holy Grail mascara??

The first of my Black Friday purchases has rolled in! Woohoo 🙂 After I promised my husband no eyeshadow palettes until after Christmas… I definitely bought two 🙈 I couldn’t help it! This one from Too Faced I have wanted for months, and when I finally decided I was going to buy it, I realized it wasn’t at Ulta. I look at Sephora but I don’t buy from them often. But then I saw Too Faced was offering some good deals for Black Friday.

I purchased two items and got a bag with sample sized products, two regular mini samples, and shipping all free! Who could resist? (Not me)

Packaging: A+ on everything. Even if you hate the brand, you have to admit they have adorable packaging. I don’t want to throw out any boxes! And everything was nestled nicely in a sturdy box filled with paper crinkly- packaging things.

Purchase One: The Just Peachy Mattes palette. I love this so far. No regrets on this. The palette itself is very nice. It’s extremely durable, and has a little clasp that holds it closed (and they look like peaches). And it’s metal I think… definitely not the cardboard that a lot of brands use. There is a mirror on top. I put the box there so you didn’t see my reflection lol. Everything swatches wonderfully and nothing has been patchy.

Purchase Two: the Dew You foundation from their Tutti Frutti line. I only used it once but I like it so far. It’s a dewy finish and it looks boarderline cakey but it’s not terrible. My skin gets horribly dry in the winter! The color was a tad off but I think it’s the closest match they had. My biggest complaint is the scent. I’m sure most people find it refreshing but it’s almost too much for me. I’m pretty sensitive to scents though. When I was outside or at the store I didn’t notice it, but shut up in my office or the car I did.

The freebies: the makeup bag is plastic and really big! I was surprised. I don’t normally use plastic makeup bags but it would be great for a trip. I already know I love their Better Than Sex mascara. I also got a lip oil from the peach line…it’s ok. I don’t like it enough I would specifically purchase it. I also got a sample of their Chocolate Soleil bronzer. It smells so good!! I like it so far. I don’t use bronzer a lot but I would keep using it.

Finally, the minis:

I haven’t tried the glitter glue yet. I had to mix the first two shades of the foundation together to get even a close match. It’s just not for me unfortunately. And only because it’s a matte finish. I love matte but it looks horrible on my skin.

Here are two eye looks I did so far. Forgive my eyeliner in the one and my skin in the other haha. The first one I actually used all Too Faced products on my face except the eye liner.

What are your favorite Too Faced products? 🙂

So I throw stuff away without ever thinking I could get one more use out of it in an empties post lol. So I could have done many before this one. But I finally remembered to hold onto some stuff to give a final review.

And I thought it was good to go through and toss empties, toss expired/dried out, and pass on the uninteresting (to me) right before I probably buy more 🙂

The face products:

This was my second bottle of miscellar cleansing water from Philosophy, and I’m making my way through my third bottle. So yes, I will repurchase 🙂 The big bottle is $22. I know you can buy cheaper brands of this stuff, but I’m in love with Philosophy anymore. This stuff works well.

The moisturizer is something I got in an ipsy bag literally forever ago. I used it a lot, then kind of forgot about it, then rediscovered it and finished it. The brand is Tucker Ashley which I’ve never seen anywhere. Honestly I would buy this if I found it anywhere. It worked very well.

The Foundations:

The Nyx BB Cream was I believe $12. So my only complaint about it was it had a bit of a floral scent, but it would fade after a bit. However, I have repurchased it, and I don’t know if they reformulated or what, but I don’t smell anything now! So I recommend this completely now. It is good for me in the winter when my skin is so dry that any foundation looks cakey on me. It’s enough to smooth out my skin tone.

The Wet n Wild Cushion was I believe $9. I liked this, and it provided a little more coverage than the BB cream but definitely didn’t come off dry or cakey. However, it seemed to dry up pretty quickly. Like I can use foundation for anywhere between 6 months-a year…I used this for a couple of months and it was done. So for that reason, I probably won’t repurchase.

The mascaras:

I got the Wander Beauty Unlashed in a BoxyCharm and *loved* it. I recently found out they sell this at Sephora (or at least online). It is $25. I will definitely pick it up again, even if not immediately. It provided volume without being clumpy.

Finally, I had bought the mini Too Faced Better Than Sex because there was so much talk about it but I’m so picky with mascaras, I was scared to sink over $20 into it. I loved this too. I’m hoping to grab another one this weekend actually, and I will get the full size hopefully. The mini is $12 and lasted a long time. It made my lashes look so full and long and was not clumpy for me. Too Faced is becoming a new favorite brand of mine!

I’m glad to finally toss everything. It’s nice to declutter 🙂 Do you have and love any of these? Or hate?? Let me know! ❤ī¸

So I really don’t have a lot of Too Faced products! If I’m buying high end, I always went for Urban Decay. However, after I got that Life is a Festival palette, I really wanted to try more of their stuff. I was really impressed by it. So after wandering into Ulta one day, I left with a $42 face palette 🙂

First, I love the packaging. The outside box is very pretty, and the inside is a tin that is also very pretty. I love the colors and I like how sturdy it feels. There is a mirror inside also.

Also, it does have a light, very pleasant peach-like scent to it! As someone who has a lot of issues with strong scents (like I get a full blown headache and nausea), this in no way bothered me and I really liked it. I actually specifically didn’t look at Too Faced products for awhile because most of them are scented, but after smelling it in the store, I didn’t think it would be a problem.

It’s so light it honestly isn’t noticeable once it’s on.

There is a highlighter, a blush, and a bronzer.

So none of them are wow, in your face. They are more subtle and just give an overall glowy, healthy look. The bronzer disappointed me a little because it literally doesn’t show up on my face. And I am very pale lol. I don’t know if it’s the formula or if it really is just very light.

Would I buy it again? Not for $42. I will keep using it for sure, and it would be convenient to travel with. But maybe if I found it half off would I get it again.

Do you have this item? What’s your favorite product from the Sweet Peach line?
